Cross Country is more than just a bunch of runners – it is a great sport where you will make friends, get in better shape, and become a better athlete. No one is “born” with the ability to run long distances, it comes from practice and training and determination. Running is a life-long sport; it isn’t always easy – but it is always fun.
Cross-Country is a "club sport" that is open to all boys and girls in 6th, 7th & 8th grade who attend Abbott Middle School. We are a “no-cut” sport which means our team could have one hundred kids on it if that’s how many wanted to complete! Practices begin in the beginning of September and we will run until November including through the entire October intersession.
To participate in Cross-Country, please request the sports paperwork from your PE teacher or see Coach King in room 5.
